In an exciting update for fans of the franchise, the voice behind Geralt, Doug Cockle, has shared in a recent interview that Geralt will make an appearance in the next installment of The Witcher series. He also pointed out that, unlike previous games, this time around, Geralt will not take center stage.
Cockle mentioned that while Geralt will feature in the game, the extent of his involvement remains uncertain, and the game's narrative will not revolve primarily around him.
Previously, the game's director, Sebastian Kalemba, hinted at the possibility of Geralt's return, making Cockle's remarks seem like a solid confirmation. However, Cockle added, somewhat jokingly, that he hasn’t had the chance to read a script yet, implying there could be a twist to the news he delivered.
This forthcoming game aims to initiate a new trilogy and is currently referred to as Project Polaris. Additionally, CD Projekt Red is developing it using Epic’s Unreal Engine 5 technology. Though the release is still years away, there remains optimism that glimpses of this new adventure will be unveiled in the near future.
